The process to deploy Mozilla Firefox involves downloading the Firefox installer .exe and deploying the installation via a BCX Custom Package Task.

Download

Download the English version of Firefox (Firefox Setup xxxx.exe) from:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html

Next, you need to copy the Firefox Setup xxxx.exe file to your packages$ share or distribution point

eg \\servername\packages$\EXE\Firefox

You can also, rename the setup file and take out all spaces to simplify command input into BCX Network Management Tools.

eg Firefox Setup xxxx.exe becomes FirefoxSetupxxxx.exe

If the installation file has been downloaded from the Internet it now needs to be unblocked

How to unblock files downloaded from the Internet for Deployment.

Installation Instructions

You can now create a custom package task to deploy Firefox using the following command:

\\servername\packages$\EXE\Firefox\FirefoxSetupxxxx.exe -ms

(You should also be ale to use /S instead of -ms on later versions)

After adding the task, only assign to a few individual testing stations to test deployment
