Microsoft Silverlight

The process to deploy Microsoft Silverlight involves downloading the Microsoft Silverlight and deploying the installation via a BCX Custom Package Task.

Be aware that Microsoft have announced end of support after October 2021

Download

Download the Microsoft Silverlight installer (Silverlight.exe) from:

http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/

Next, you need to copy the Silverlight.exe file to your packages$ share or distribution point

eg \\servername\packages$\EXE\Silverlight

If the installation file has been downloaded from the Internet it now needs to be unblocked

Installation Instructions

You can now create a custom package task to deploy Microsoft Silverlight using the following command:

\\servername\packages$\EXE\Silverlight\Silverlight.exe /q /norestart

After adding the task, only assign to a few individual testing stations to test deployment
