Pin to Start Menu and Taskbar

Beta support has been added for both Windows 10 and Windows 11 for use of the native windows start menu and pinning from release 4.2404.03

BCX Client is able to pin items to the Start Menu/Taskbar in the current user context.

Pinning is only completed once per shortcut and the user is still able to make changes/update their pinning preferences, including unpinning.

These features are implemented to make the first logon experience as consistent as possible.

We are working within the Windows limitations of being able to right click "pin to" which is not available for some shortcut types naively in the Windows OS.

Known Limitations

  • Unable to pin more than one URL link to the Start Menu / Taskbar.
  • Unable to pin network locations to the Taskbar.
  • Unable to pin file explorer shortcuts, such as Recycle Bin and This PC to the Taskbar.
